Global Traceability Lead (consultant), U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol®

Garry Bell is the Global Traceability Lead for the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, acting as a consultant for the program. A passionate sustainability and business excellence professional, he is committed to helping the Trust Protocol harness the technologies and innovation behind the program’s traceability solution to deliver value to all members and stakeholders by connecting the program’s farm-level environmental data to brand and retailer members’ finished products. Garry leads a team of industry veterans actively managing the development, implementation and maintenance of the Trust Protocol’s proprietary traceability solution.

Garry is an industry veteran with more than 30 years’ senior executive experience across the full spectrum of functional areas within the global apparel and textile industry. As one of the world’s first global marketing leaders to sign a COTTON USA™ license over 25 years ago, Garry has long been a fan and champion of U.S. cotton, advocating the inherent values of quality, consistency and operational efficiency of the fiber to manufacturers around the world. Additionally, he has 24 years in senior level positions at Gildan, one of the world’s largest vertically integrated manufacturers of textiles and apparel.

The biennial COTTON USA™ Summit is hosted by Cotton Council International and the U.S. cotton industry in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Services (FAS).
