Senior Director of Material Sourcing at Under Armour

Nicholas (Nick) Pence is Senior Director of Material Sourcing at Under Armour, where he leads global material sourcing strategies across apparel, footwear, and accessories. He works closely with global supply partners to build a material supply chain that delivers value, supports innovation, improves resilience, and advances the company's sustainability goals. 

At Under Armour, Nick also helps improve material traceability and responsible sourcing across the value chain. He serves on The Cotton Board, supporting efforts to increase the use and competitiveness of cotton while improving transparency and long-term sustainability. His experience gives him a practical perspective on how brands, growers, manufacturers, and industry organizations can work together to strengthen the future of the cotton industry. 

Nick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a Pre-Law focus, from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. 

Nick also serves as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army National Guard and has more than 22 years of combined active-duty and reserve service. A U.S. Army Ranger, he served with the 75th Ranger Regiment and deployed multiple times in support of combat operations. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with Valor Device, the Purple Heart, the Ranger Tab, and the Master Parachutist Badge. 

Nick lives in Severna Park, Maryland, with his wife, Lindsey, and their two daughters, McCall and Brooks.
