President of Carolinas Cotton Growers Cooperative

Wayne initially joined Cotton Growers Cooperative in 2001 as a Markey Analyst where his responsibilities included brokerage relations, execution of future trades, market research and analysis. From 2004 - 2015, Wayne served as Vice President of Brokerage for Cooperative’s subsidiary Southeast Futures Management.

In 2015, Wayne left the Cooperative to take a position as Director of Operations for Braswell Foods where he was responsible for grain purchasing, feed operations and egg operations. Braswell Foods is a large privately owned egg and feed company that produces both conventional and organic feed and eggs as well as being the second largest Egglands Best franchisee in the U.S.

Wayne rejoined the Cooperative in 2017 and now serves as President.

Wayne and his wife Gretchen have a son Micah and they reside on a farm in Nash County NC. In his free time, Wayne enjoys working on his family’s row crop, vegetable and cattle farm and is active in his church.
