CEO and President of Cotton Incorporated Staplcotn

William Kimbrell is President and CEO and Cotton Incorporated, the research and promotion organization dedicated to increasing the demand for and profitability of cotton. A 23-year veteran of the company, Kimbrell has held leadership roles spanning research and development, technology implementation, and global marketing. His experience includes fiber processing research, value chain innovation, and leading strategic initiatives across Asia.

Prior to being named President and CEO, he served as Executive Vice President and COO, overseeing the organization’s operation and strategic initiatives. Earlier, as Vice President of Supply Chain Marketing Asia, he led teams in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Osaka, working closely with manufacturers, brands, and retailers on supply chain and trade marketing programs designed to strengthen cotton’s position across the global textile value chain.

Kimbrell earned a degree in Textile Management and an MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain Management from North Carolina State University. He previously served on the North Carolina State Foundation Board and currently serves on the North Carolina State Poole College of Management Advisory Board.
